A.A. has a pamphlet titled, “What is A.A.?” You will find many answers there.
Buttons for that information are displayed at the bottom of each page on our website.
A.A. has produced a pamphlet titled, “Self-Support: Where Money & Spirituality Mix.”
That information is available here.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
“I am responsible. When anyone, anywhere, reaches out for help, I want the hand of A.A. always to be there. And for that: I am responsible.”
On certain days we read from the Big Book and the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions and there is a schedule for when we read what.
Dawn Patrol Online uses Venmo for online contributions. You may also mail a check to an address given during our daily meeting.
You can request a new member welcome package that includes a pocket version of the Big Book.
We do celebrate sobriety milestones of 30, 60, and 90 days, six and nine months, and yearly anniversaries. In each meeting. We ask if anyone has reached one of those milestones. Celebrants are then given a chance to speak briefly about how they achieved that goal.
You can request a coin for any of those anniversaries.
